I have been interested in sewing since childhood making clothes for myself and family over the last 60 years. I have been a quilter for about 20 years and now only use recycled fabrics in everything I make. These include cottons, wools, silks and man made fibres of all types including household linens and curtains. I use recycled fabrics bought in charity shops and accept fabric that people give me. I am devoted to upcycling of recycled fabrics to hopefully help reduce fabrics going to landfill. I am interested in all techniques but particularly faux chenille to make cushions and bags.I have recently become very interested in wool applique and wool penny rugs. In the future I wish to combine my interest in dressmaking and quilting to make wearables.
